Leatherwork is something I started doing relatively recently compared to my silverwork, and so far I've simply stuck to sewing or lacing bits together rather than trying my hand at carving or dying. Still, I've had a good response to what I've been doing so I shall stick at it and we'll see how it goes. I've been moving onto lacing rather than sewing lately, because when I say 'hand sewn' I really do mean it - no sewing machines involved. Aside from being a bit easier to do without various bits of equipment that I don't currently own, I think the lacing also adds a nice look to the finished work anyway.

The bags and pouches I've so far produced were generally made with live action role players in mind - one can never have too much bag space, right? Having said that, a shoulder bag is a shoulder bag, so hopefully even if you don't larp you may find something you like.

Follow the thumbnail links below to view more detailed images and a description for each piece, including an indication of size and any relevant notes on leather type and availability. I tend to buy relatively small amounts of leather at a time - enough for a couple of bags per hide maybe - so please bear in mind that colour will vary between bags. As leather is a natural material, even if I order 'mid brown' twice, there may still be a tiny variation in colour.
